Just a work in progress post.

I had designed an Applique based on the theme Home as part of a unit for my City & Guilds Hand Embroidery course.
The crockery are some random pieces i have and love.  I have had them such a long time and they have memories attached to them!
The coffee pot is a piece i probably bought from a charity shop, it had damage already but i use it as a vase for flowers.
The first memory of its life as a vase is when my daughters Grandparents came for a visit.
They slept in my room and i wanted them to feel as special as the visit felt for my daughter who was around 9 or 10yrs old.

I was going to make fabric patterns for it to perhaps sell, but i recently learnt how to construct Cross stitch Charts!
I wondered how it would transfer to charted stitch...I am liking the results.
However, I have deleted alot of stitches that made up the background. (See above!)

Here's the original Applique.
The background on the applique is made of two fabrics, a mushroom top and cream linen base sections. So that's what I'm trying to get across, coming from a white even weave Aida fabric!
That's it for now...Miss D signing off!

Thanks for reading x
